That said, the lactic acid becomes ineffective on an empty stomach thanks to the amount of acid in your stomach. This ends up killing the lactic acid bacteria that is found in such milk products and in turn leads to even more acidity. As such, it’s best to eat your yogurt as a snack preferably an hour or two after you have eaten a good meal, and never on an empty stomach.
