Frequent use of your garbage disposal will leave it with a bad odor and it is not exactly common practice to dip your hand to the bottom of the can to remove all the odd bits and pieces trapped down there. Luckily, vinegar is useful for tasks like this.
When next you have to clean out your garbage disposal, create a two-part ice cube set with vinegar and water. When the cubes are ready, throw one or two cubes into the sink and turn on the disposal. this will clean out any odor-emitting grime that is stuck to the bottom of your disposal. Your disposal and kitchen will have a sweet lemon scent instead.
