3. Use your bar soap in the garden
Pick up some bar soaps, those with a strong smell and place them in some old pantyhose that you no longer use or in a mesh. Make sure it’s easy to hang these on the trees around the yard. Animals that could ruin your plants such as deers avoid places that have soap especially if the soap is strong. Soap can also help keep mice away. It’s easy. Simply put the bars of soap in those places that you want the mice to avoid. You can also scatter the shavings of the soap you are using around your yard to keep even more pests away. So try it. Make your own insecticides from old soap bars instead of discarding them. By doing this, you also get to save money in the process.
